Press Release:

CereCore® Institute Uses Associational Thinking to 'Rethink How We Think'
June 13, 2005 - Bellevue, WA

CereCore®Institute, a company at the forefront of assessing human thinking processes and developing customized strategic plans for leaders, teams and professionals – is leading the quest to rethink how we think.  Pundits are saying that we are entering a new era, coined the Conceptual Age by Daniel Pink.

"New levels of complexity and change are shifting the emphasis in the way we think to encompass big picture, concepts, visualization and visual-spatial aptitudes" said Jan Thomas, CEO and co-founder of CereCore®Institute.  "What we at CereCore®Institute have known for years regarding the power of associational thinking is now being implemented as a critical approach to leadership, team and individual effectiveness."

To create an awareness and dialogue for leaders and professionals regarding the importance of thinking processes as a means to meet these challenges, CereCore®Institute is introducing a series of briefings, discussion panels and articles.  "Understanding how we think and having strategies to create sustainable performance improvement is imperative to success and growth in this era of increased complexity," Thomas added.  "We cannot rely on what got us by in the past with the rapid change and massive amounts of information we deal with today."

The Institute’s first briefing was held May 4th on the subject "Rethinking How We Think:  The Power of Associational Thinking in the Conceptual Age."  Participants learned about what this shift to a focus on associational thinking means to their businesses and how it could affect their bottom line.  Briefings and articles scheduled this fall address the challenges facing our leaders and what skills and aptitudes they will need to succeed.  Also the topic of non-traditional time management will explore the growing demands on all of us to manage time more effectively.  The introduction of visual tools will provide a different approach to conventional time management systems.

CereCore®Institute offers certifications for qualified coaches, consultants, human resource and organizational development professionals.  They deliver proprietary assessments in the Thomas Indicator Profile® (TIP) and custom strategic plans for their leader, business owner, teams and professional clients.  "We have researched and developed a system focusing on the power of associational thinking that is pivotal in understanding, communicating and managing the combination of rapid change and increased complexity" stated B.J. Hudgins, co-founder and director of programs at the Institute.  "Our clients receive knowledge, tools and proven strategies that transform the ways they lead, work and solve problems toward attaining measurable performance improvement."

Proprietary workshops and coaching are also available from CereCore®Institute, and include programs in leadership, team development and non-traditional time management.  Forums provide thought-provoking topics for increased dialogue and ideas exchange.  The Institute’s integrated approach creates a rich experience for learning and applying thinking processes with the emphasis on associational thinking.

Jan Thomas is a pioneer in educating people to more deliberately use their cognitive thinking processes for improved performance.  In 1987 Thomas formed Profiling Consultants LLC as an executive and corporate coaching and consulting firm.  It was designed to optimize the performance of associational thinkers as leaders, teams and individuals.  In 2001 CereCore®Institute was created to respond to the growing demand for associational thinking development.
